I know many people are excited about altcoins right now.
Every time an altcoin starts moving, social media quickly becomes full of posts saying:
“ALTSEASON IS HERE!” 🚀
But I don't want to call it altseason just because a few coins are pumping.
For me, the bigger picture matters.
The Altcoin Season Index is still below the classic 75 level used to confirm a broad altcoin season. Recent readings have remained around the 40s, which means we are still not seeing a clear market-wide altcoin takeover.
And honestly, this is important.
Because there is a big difference between:
A few altcoins pumping...
and
THE WHOLE ALTCOIN MARKET STARTING TO MOVE.
Right now, I am watching three simple things.
1️⃣ $BITCOIN
First I want to know what BTC is doing.
If Bitcoin suddenly falls hard, many altcoins can lose their gains very quickly.
So before I buy an altcoin, I always check Bitcoin first.
2️⃣ VOLUME
A breakout without volume does not impress me.
If price moves above resistance but nobody is really buying, that breakout can easily fail.
I want to see real buying pressure.
3️⃣ RELATIVE STRENGTH
This is one of the most important things for me.
If $BITCOIN is weak or moving sideways and one altcoin is still holding strong, that coin gets my attention.
$BNB is a good example of the kind of relative strength I am watching today.
But I still don't want to chase a green candle.
My plan is simple:
Find strong coins.
Mark their important levels.
Wait for confirmation.
Then enter with a clear stop.
Not:
Green candle → FOMO → huge leverage → panic. 😅
The market will always give another opportunity.
You don't need to catch every pump.
I would rather take one clean trade than five emotional trades.
So yes, I am watching altcoins closely.
But I am NOT calling full altseason yet.
When the data starts showing a much wider move across the market, I will pay even more attention.
Until then, I am staying selective.
