SemiAnalysis said SpaceX’s goal of adding more than 10GW of compute capacity by the end of 2027 is feasible. According to Odaily, Elon Musk said SpaceX’s conservative target is to deliver 6GW to 8GW of incremental compute capacity in 2027, with upside above 10GW.
Using an estimated capital expenditure of about $50 billion per GW, 2027 spending could reach $300 billion to $500 billion. SemiAnalysis also said OpenAI and Anthropic could generate more than $100 billion in annual revenue per GW when offering API inference services on GB300 clusters, while annual costs would be about $12 billion per GW based on a GPU rental price of $3 per hour.
SemiAnalysis estimated that Microsoft’s October 2025 $250 billion infrastructure agreement with OpenAI corresponds to about 7GW of compute capacity. It also said a Microsoft and SpaceX agreement for about 3GW, worth around $150 billion, is possible. SemiAnalysis projected SpaceX’s annual recurring revenue could reach $300 billion by the end of 2027.
