I almost quit trading in 2019.
Because the losses were tooo much and it was killing me inside,
Every week I will deposit money I had hustled tirelessly for.
Every week the market would take it back.
I had no job
I had no help
I had no mentor
It was me, my researched knowledge and the market
I usually wake up at 5am to catch London open, I'll stare at EURUSD like it owed me money, by the end of the day I'd have taken over 30 trades g my account gone 😢
One night I was on Instagram, half angry, half desperate but that was when I saw a random post from a trader I didn’t follow.
No Lamborghini.
No lifestyle showoff
No motivational quotes.
Just a chart and one sentence:
"To be successful at what 90% are unsuccessful at, you avoid doing what the 90% are doing"
That was it.
No course link.
No DM me.
No sales page.
I didn’t reply.
I didn’t like the post.
But the message was clear as day.
I took the advice
I stopped doing what I was doing, and started building a different system approach to the market. My account didn't grow immediately, But it stopped bleeding.
A few months later, I was profitable.
I have never met that trader or even thanked her, she probably forgot she ever made that post, but every time I mentor someone now I tell them the same sentence.
Sometimes the answer to your trading issues is not long term mentorship or bootcamp or courses but a simple 1min conversation with a truly profitable trader.
