"Who actually controls my assets?"

The more time I spend in crypto, the more I realize that I don't ask one question often enough.

For a long time, I only looked at potential returns. If a platform offered higher rewards, that was enough to catch my attention.
Now I think differently.
The first thing I want to know is whether I still have control of my Bitcoin.
While learning about Babylon, that was the idea that stayed with me. It made me realize that staking isn't only about earning rewards. It's also about how much control you're comfortable giving away.
Maybe that's why self-custody matters so much. It's not just a feature—it's a principle that many Bitcoin holders value.
I'm still learning, but I enjoy projects that make me think about these questions instead of simply promising bigger returns.
For me, the more important question isn't:
"How much can I earn?"
It's:
How much control am I willing to give up?
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Do you think self-custody will become one of the most important factors in Bitcoin staking as this space evolves?
