Pakistan PM ‘grateful’ for Trump’s pause on ‘Project Freedom’ 🚨
Shehbaz Sharif has reacted to Trump’s decision to halt his new operation in the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on X, Sharif praised Trump’s “courageous leadership and timely announcement”.
Sharif said the pause will “go a long way towards advancing regional peace, stability and reconciliation during this sensitive period”.
Pakistan has acted as a mediator during the ongoing negotiations between the US and Iran, with talks recently held in Islamabad.
“Pakistan remains firmly committed to supporting all efforts that promote restraint and a peaceful resolution of conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy,” Sharif said.
