Solayer is a restaking protocol built natively on the Solana blockchain, inspired by Ethereum’s EigenLayer. It allows users to restake already-staked assets—such as SOL and liquid staking tokens like mSOL, JitoSOL, and more—into supportive infrastructure known as Actively Validated Services (AVSs), thereby increasing users’ rewards while reinforcing the ecosystem’s security and scalability.
Under the hood, Solayer integrates innovative components such as:
Restaking Pool Manager to handle deposits and convert assets into the protocol’s native token, sSOL, representing restaked value
Delegation Manager to assign those sSOL tokens to various AVSs
Reward Accounting Unit to track and distribute rewards efficiently
Performance-wise, Solayer leverages a next-gen architecture called InfiniSVM, featuring hardware acceleration (e.g., RDMA, FPGAs, and programmable networking). This allows near-zero latency, horizontal scaling, and transaction throughput that can reach over 1 million TPS—earning its place as one of the fastest blockchain systems in production.
