PVARA just opened the official crypto licensing portal on 22 August under the Virtual Assets Act 2026.

Every existing VASP now has until 5 September to file for a No-Objection Certificate. Miss the deadline and continuing operations becomes a criminal offense.

Ten license categories are live — exchanges, custody, lending, derivatives, mining and more. For the first time since the 2018 ban, licensed players will get formal banking access.

The timeline is tight. Offshore platforms serving Pakistani users now face a real choice: incorporate locally or exit.
