$SHELL | Why the Same Exchange Can Show Two Different Numbers for "the Same Thing"

Here's a useful habit for anyone new to reading charts: two numbers that sound like they're measuring the same thing can still come from slightly different calculations.

Binance's money flow breakdown lists SHELL's 24-hour large-order net flow at about +434,154.80 SHELL. Its separate 5-day large-order chart lists the most recent 24-hour bar at +660,175.80. Both are labeled "large orders, 24 hours," both come from the same exchange, yet they don't match exactly.

That's not necessarily a sign either number is wrong. It usually means the two tools measure their 24-hour window slightly differently, or classify order sizes differently. The lesson: always check which specific tool a number came from before comparing it to another.
