🎨 ONE FACE, THREE DIFFERENT PRESENCES

In Andy Warhol’s Three Self-Portraits, repetition becomes a way to explore identity.

The green, silver, and yellow treatments invite us to encounter the same face differently. A change in color can shift the emotional distance between the image and the viewer, making something familiar feel newly uncertain.

Seen together, the three portraits raise a question that still feels relevant: how much of a public identity belongs to the person, and how much is shaped by its presentation?

The face remains recognizable. Our reading of it keeps changing.

That tension gives the triptych room to speak to an age in which people continually create and circulate images of themselves.
