🚫alternative currencies
My opinion regarding alternative currencies is that this cycle was unlike any before it. The reasons are the tensions, inflation, and high interest rates. A cryptocurrency boom requires surplus funds and a period of calm to increase risk appetite, and these factors were completely absent during this cycle. Wars in the Middle East, the Russia-Ukraine war, the Iran-Iraq war, high inflation, and high interest rates all contributed to this. High interest rates mean a shortage of liquidity flowing into high-risk markets, and the wars drove the already limited available funds to safe havens like gold and silver. What caused Bitcoin's rise was investment funds, not purchases by the general public. Personally, I changed my strategy in dealing with the crypto market, and in the next cycle, I will focus primarily on Bitcoin and investing in it. In later stages, I will transfer the liquidity to alternative currencies. I expect the next cycle to have a frightening cryptocurrency boom like the one in 2021, due to low interest rates and post-war money printing. In other words, I expect there to be political stability. The wars have subsided or their pace has noticeably decreased.
