One thing I've kept noticing is that every time AI infrastructure gets more capable, the conversation somehow becomes less about people. We spend a lot of time discussing models, agents, and execution layers, but much less time asking who these systems are ultimately accountable to.

That's partly why projects like Newton Protocol caught my attention. The technical direction makes sense, but I don't think better infrastructure automatically leads to better decentralization. Trust isn't something you deploy with code. It grows through governance, shared incentives, and communities that can adapt when things don't go as planned.

Crypto has always been strongest when it treats decentralization as a social process rather than a technical feature. AI raises that standard even further. Open systems still need legitimate coordination, or they risk drifting toward the same concentration of power they were meant to avoid.

I'm optimistic about the experimentation, but I think the real outcome will depend on people as much as protocols. That part is still unfolding.
