In the Pacific Island nation of Fiji, a newly elected Prime Minister who supports bitcoin has assumed office. On Dec 24, Sitiveni Rabuka, the new president of Fiji, assumed power. A former member of the Tongan parliament and nobleman named Lord Fusitu'a shared the news from his neighboring country on Twitter. According to Fusitu'a, Rabuka had been given a step-by-step explanation of how Fiji may make Bitcoin legal tender like Tonga and that two ths Legal Tender Bills for the Pacific in 2023 might be issued.
