In the ongoing trial of former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, early FTX employee Adam Yedidia testified about a bug in the automation code for customer deposits and withdrawals. The bug caused Alameda Research's liability to FTX to be exaggerated by $500 million. The Based Doge (BOGE) memecoin protocol on the Base network was recently exploited in a hacking incident, the team confirmed. The attack was similar to the recent Normie exploit. The team plans to take a snapshot of current token balances and relaunch the project to compensate victims. Blockchain data shows that an account initiated over 120 transactions on Base, resulting in hundreds of thousands of BOGE being transferred into the account, totaling approximately 91.4 million BOGE. These were then swapped for about 4.47 Ether (ETH), worth around $16,926. The attack caused BOGE's price to plummet, resulting in a loss of over $2.8 million in value.
