Strategy disclosed another 2,932
$BTC purchase on January 26th—$264.1 million spent at an average of $90,061 per Bitcoin. Their total holdings now stand at 712,647 BTC, acquired for $54.19 billion with an average cost of $76,037. At today's price, that's roughly $62 billion in value, representing about 3.4% of Bitcoin's fixed 21 million supply.
To put that in context: Marathon Digital, the second-largest public holder, owns just 44,893 BTC. Strategy's stash is 16 times larger. The company funded this latest buy by selling 1,569,770 shares of MSTR common stock and 70,201 shares of STRC preferred equity, raising $264 million total.
What's interesting is they bought this during Bitcoin's January volatility when price slipped from $95K to the high $80Ks. Critics point out that Strategy's stock now trades at a 6% discount to its Bitcoin-per-share value, meaning further equity-funded purchases could become dilutive rather than accretive. Still, no other corporation has come close to this accumulation pace.
