The judge has barred Sam Bankman-Fried from citing FTX lawyers in his initial submissions, but he will later be able to present what is known as a "counsel defense". The defense has argued that FTX lawyers were involved in certain company decisions, but the judge said that argument could confuse or bias the jury. Bankman-Fried will begin his trial on October 3.
