ZetaChain put a December 9 date on moving $ZETA to Solana as a native SPL token, pending a vote that closes November 7.

On November 4, 2026, the team published Governance Proposal 2 on ZetaHub, which sets the migration mechanism after Proposal 68 approved the direction in September with about 99.4% support. If Proposal 2 passes, ZetaChain’s L1 halts at a snapshot around December 9, ZETA is minted 1:1 on Solana under the same ticker, mint authority is revoked, and claims open the same day through the ZetaHub portal. Staked and exchange balances convert automatically; self-custody holders sign a message naming a Solana wallet, with no fee and no SOL required.

About 55 million ZETA of undistributed validator emissions would be burned monthly through 2027, roughly 4.6 million each month. ZetaLabs, a private AI app for markets, is slated to launch on Solana the same day. Voting closes November 7; nothing moves unless the proposal passes.
