Bitcoin last closed at 77694.6, stuck below the 4-hour and daily 50-period averages at 79429.07 and 80317.99. Both those timeframes show momentum stalled out, with relative strength readings of 40.72 and 36.31 and the moving average convergence divergence negative across the board. The 4-hour chart marked a change of character to the downside, and a structural trigger points short, while the 1-hour frame hints at a short-term bullish break and a fair value gap between 77545.0 and 77610.0. Intraday and higher timeframe signals are at odds; any sense of reversal needs price back above 79429.07 to matter for more than a bounce.
Ethereum follows a similar script. The last close at 2264.17 leaves ETH under its 4-hour and daily 50-period averages at 2309.94 and 2420.86. Momentum is weak on the daily with a relative strength value of 33.28 and negative moving average convergence divergence, but the 1-hour chart is firmer with a positive number and a print of 59.61 for RSI. Four-hour structure broke to the downside, triggering short, while the intraday chart shows a bullish break and a fair value gap from 2256.08 to 2260.94. Bulls need ETH above 2309.94 to flip the near-term story.
