Tesla founder Elon Musk recently shared his thoughts on the X platform regarding the cyberattack on the crypto exchange Binance.

In his post, Musk stated, "Every day is zeroday."

This statement brought major attention back to the rising cybersecurity risks within the cryptocurrency industry.

In cybersecurity, a "zero-day" vulnerability refers to a software flaw exploited by attackers before developers can publicly disclose it or release a security patch.

Meanwhile, Musk also reposted an analysis from The Kobeissi Letter, which discussed the massive cyberattack.

According to The Kobeissi Letter, roughly $5.7 billion flowed out of Binance following the incident, calling it the largest cyberattack in crypto history.

However, it is important to note that the entire $5.7 billion outflow was not necessarily stolen funds.

Fund outflows also include regular users transferring their assets to other platforms or personal wallets.

Therefore, total fund outflows and actual direct losses from the attack must be evaluated separately.

Musk's statements and reposts have kept crypto security concerns at the forefront, even as financial uncertainties surrounding the incident continue.
