Circle has published guidance for issuers seeking to transfer ERC-20 tokens other than USDC across chains using CCTP. Issuers can create native cross-chain tokens or connect existing ERC-20 tokens through custom CCTP connections. Circle's developer documentation says non-USDC support launched in September 2026 on EVM chains, excluding non-EVM chains such as Solana. Issuers can configure administrative controls and transfer limits, and Circle cannot assume control.
