Today feels like one bad news after another for the crypto market.

First the Binance security incident!

According to Binance’s preliminary investigation an attacker gained access to a service container after a DevOps engineer’s laptop was compromised allowing them to submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions.

The most concerning part is the estimated financial impact which is around $6.3 billion!

Heres what Binance has shared so far:

There is no evidence that wallet private keys were leaked.

Around $3 billion worth of assets have reportedly been frozen with the help of blockchain partners.

Deposits and withdrawals were temporarily suspended while security checks were underway.

Binance says it will cover any losses through its SAFU fund and company funds.

The exchange has reassured users that their funds are safe.

And just when things couldn't get more disappointing, another piece of news came in!

Predict ($PREDICT) was scheduled to begin spot trading on Binance today October 30 at 10:00 AM UTC.

However Binance officially announced that the @predictdotfun trading launch has been postponed until further notice.

So everyone who was waiting for today's listing will have to wait a little longer.

No updated trading time has been announced yet.

A major security incident involving Binance and now a postponed Predict listing!

Honestly I went to sleep last night thinking about making a post on these developments.

I never expected to wake up to even more disappointing news.

The crypto market has its good days and bad days but moments like this remind us how unpredictable this space can be.

Hopefully, things settle down soon, everyone stays safe, and we finally get some good news today.#EarningsSeason
