In a regulatory filing on Oct. 29, Samsung Electronics said consolidated third-quarter revenue rose 126.88% from a year earlier, while operating profit surged 783.11%.
The Device Solutions, or DS, division, which houses the semiconductor business, posted revenue of 147.1 trillion won ($106.2 billion) and operating profit of 106.5 trillion won ($76.8 billion).
Samsung Electronics' board on Oct. 29 approved a quarterly cash dividend of 4,601 won ($3.32) per common share and preferred share. The total payout amounts to about 30 trillion won ($21.7 billion), with payment scheduled for Nov. 27.
The dividend is part of this year's shareholder return plan announced in August. At the time, Samsung Electronics said it would return 90 trillion won to 110 trillion won ($65.0 billion to $79.5 billion) to shareholders this year, including the third-quarter cash dividend of 30 trillion won ($21.7 billion).
The remaining shareholder return amount and the specific method will be decided at a board meeting in January 2027 after the company finalizes its full-year earnings.
