How to Control Emotions in Trading

The market does not test your strategy first. It tests your emotions. Fear makes you sell too early, greed makes you hold too long, and anger after a loss makes you trade again without thinking. The traders who last are not the ones who never feel anything — they are the ones who do not let a feeling place the trade.

✅ DO this:
• Decide your entry, stop-loss and profit target before you enter, and write them down.
• After a loss, step away for a while instead of trading straight away.
• Trade a size so small that one loss cannot hurt your mood or your account.
• Judge yourself by whether you followed your plan, not by one single trade.

❌ DON'T do this:
• Don't panic sell just because the price dipped for a few minutes.
• Don't chase a pumping coin because you are afraid of missing out.
• Don't double your size to win back a loss quickly.

One common mistake, explained simply: revenge trading after a loss. You lose a trade, you feel angry, and you jump straight into the next trade to get the money back fast. But that trade is driven by anger, not by a setup, so it usually loses too — and now you are angrier than before. A short break, a calm review of what went wrong, and only then a planned trade, breaks that cycle.

Remember: success does not come in one day. It comes from discipline, patience, risk management and learning every day.
