Dogecoin is hanging by a thread — and today, the Fed gets to pull it.

$DOGE is trading around $0.079, up about 1.5% this morning. Don't let the green fool you. That bounce leaves DOGE BELOW the $0.081 line whales defended in mid-October. The old floor is now the ceiling. And the Fed's decision lands later today.

THE LINE THAT BROKE

Between October 12 and 16, wallets holding over 100 million DOGE added roughly 600 million coins near $0.081 (Santiment data flagged by Ali Martinez). About 36 billion DOGE last changed hands there — a massive cost-basis wall.

It didn't hold. DOGE slipped under it, tested $0.075 on October 24, and now that whole $0.081 cluster is overhead supply — the first thing bulls have to reclaim.

So watch $DOGE like this: hold $0.075 and push back above $0.0816, and the next test is $0.0838, then the $0.084–$0.085 moving-average cluster. Lose $0.075, and the next wall is $0.073, where more than 28 billion DOGE last moved. Below that, $0.069 is the trapdoor.

WHY TODAY DECIDES IT

The Fed's decision is due later today, and markets have priced roughly a 90% chance of a hold at 3.75%–4.00%. So the rate itself is not the story. The guidance is.

Bitcoin is holding above $80K into the decision, and $BTC will set the tone for everything else. DOGE is a high-beta, no-yield asset with no defensive demand of its own — when risk appetite shrinks, it usually bleeds harder than Bitcoin.

Meanwhile, builders are building: Dogecoin Labs launched October 21, and on October 26 RedStone oracles went live on the DogeOS testnet, feeding future lending and stablecoin apps.

But the community is split over it. Old-guard voices like Mishaboar blasted Labs for taking over a historic developer-linked account. DOGE is fighting on two fronts today — price versus the Fed, and builders versus the old guard.

THE HONEST BEAR CASE

Spot DOGE ETFs just printed a $538,000 weekly outflow for the week ended October 24, the biggest since August, and one Dogecoin fund, Bitwise's, has already shut down entirely. DOGE is down about 15% over the last 30 days, roughly 89% below its $0.74 all-time high from May 2021, and it trades below every major moving average. And about 5 billion new DOGE are issued every year, forever — demand has to outrun that treadmill just to stand still.

Counterweight: Trader Tardigrade still sees a megaphone pattern toward $0.108 if support holds — a conditional call, not a promise, and it needs the $0.081 reclaim first.

THE BOTTOM LINE

A meme coin building real rails, priced like it is going nowhere, walking into the biggest macro moment of the month. Memecoin rotation is frozen until the Fed speaks — check $SHIB and the rest of the board and you'll see the same coiled, waiting tape.

If $0.075 holds and $0.0816 falls, the squeeze has room. If $0.075 gives way, $0.073 decides whether this was smart money or a falling knife.
