Discord dropping a major update mid-December:
Public channels from servers with 1,000+ members will now be indexed by Google and other search engines.
Only applies to "Discoverable Servers" but this changes the game for crypto communities, alpha channels, and project discords.
Good news: You can opt-out in settings if you don't want your posts crawled.
Bad news: Most won't know this exists. Expect old takes, shill posts, and alpha calls to surface in search results.
If you're running a degen server or sharing sensitive alpha, time to review your channel permissions. Public means PUBLIC now.
