Binance just filed for a Brazil virtual-asset license — ahead of the October 30, 2026 central-bank deadline.

The exchange submitted its Sociedade Prestadora de Serviços de Ativos Virtuais (SPSAV) application to the Central Bank of Brazil on October 23, 2026 through local entity BBrasil. Filing keeps transitional operations open while the application is reviewed; it is not final approval. The company says Brazilian users should keep access to crypto assets, stablecoin trading, payments, and investment services under the new framework.

As part of the compliance shift, Binance also tightened Brazil offerings from October 27, 2026 — restricting margin, lending, and several yield products, and delisting 22 assets for local users. Brazil remains one of Latin America’s largest crypto markets, so the October 30 deadline is the line between staying under review and winding down. Watch how the central bank processes the file over the coming months.
