Cobo will shut down its consumer Cobo Wallet app at 00:00 UTC+8 on December 1, 2026, equivalent to 16:00 UTC on November 30. Customers must transfer their remaining assets before the deadline. The closure applies to the consumer app, not Cobo’s institutional custody services.
Balances left after shutdown will face a monthly management fee of 2%, with a minimum charge equivalent to $100. The first deduction is scheduled for January 1, 2027, covering December. Accounts holding less than $100 may have their entire remaining balance deducted. The charges apply to remaining assets, including holdings such as $BTC , $ETH and $USDT , and continue until assets are withdrawn or exhausted.
Users should also replace any Cobo receiving addresses saved at exchanges or mining pools. Cobo warns that staff will not ask for passwords, recovery phrases or payments to speed up withdrawals.
