OKX Europe is rolling out crypto-backed USDC loans to eligible spot-only accounts from October 15. Its October 7 notice already listed access for users with a Derivatives account; the expansion gives another group a borrowing route without first selling their holdings.

The borrowed USDC can be withdrawn, subject to normal account and withdrawal requirements. The pledged crypto stays locked while it supports the loan. Moving the USDC to another wallet therefore doesn't free the collateral back on OKX.

There is no fixed loan term, and partial repayment is allowed. But the borrowing rate updates every hour. Accrued interest can raise the loan-to-value ratio even without a fall in collateral prices; reaching the liquidation level can lead to collateral being sold.

For someone considering this route to fund a separate wallet, check both sides of the transfer: how much USDC can leave, and which holdings must remain committed to the debt. The rollout doesn't guarantee access for every account.
