Crypto investor and YouTuber Lark Davis said in a video interview with Bitcoin Magazine that Bitcoin’s next major market cycle may be approaching, despite trading sideways in the $80,000 range. According to ChainCatcher, Davis cited about a dozen on-chain and technical indicators, including record whale accumulation and the two-week MACD, to argue that the market bottom formed at $57,000.
Davis said the market is in the early stages of a new bull run, with opportunities in both Bitcoin and altcoins. He said Bitcoin is dominating ETF inflows and discussed measuring those inflows relative to market capitalization. He also considered whether the four-year cycle has lost relevance, comparing Bitcoin ETFs with the development of gold ETFs and saying ETFs are changing Bitcoin’s market structure.
Davis described the current bear market as the shortest and shallowest on record, and said the psychological toll of past downturns can make investors doubt that conditions will improve. He also discussed the U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and the regulatory outlook for the Clarity Act, saying that enshrining a Bitcoin reserve in law would add legitimacy to the asset.$BTC
