$BTC Is Bleeding. Two Data Tokens Aren’t; But They Run on Opposite Fuel A hotter-than-expected CPI print pushed BTC down ~3.5% to ~$80,800 and ETH down ~6% today. Yet $WAL is up roughly 45% and $PYTH about 6%. Both are data-infrastructure plays. That’s where the similarity ends. Pyth is running on revenue. Its DAO’s “100% Rule” (OP-PIP-136) routes every dollar of its share of product revenue into open-market PYTH buys, on $11.5M ARR, up 86% QoQ. The catch: it covers the DAO’s 60% share, not gross revenue, and monthly purchases already fell from 2.75M PYTH in March to ~670K in August. Walrus is running on narrative momentum. Walrus Console (Oct 7) lets AI agents and developers store files and agent memory via MCP, and Sui’s $30M $DATA Network deal made Walrus its default storage layer. But neither announcement disclosed WAL purchases or storage revenue commitments. One token has a visible cash-to-token loop. The other has a visible usage story, but not yet the number. Revenue disclosures, not candles, will decide which one holds when the tape turns. #Macro Insights# #Altcoin Season# #BTC Price Analysis#
