🔥 The Last Two Times Whales Bought $BTC Like This One Rally, One 34% Drop. They’re buying again. Wednesday’s CPI decides which ending this one gets. Wallets holding 10 to 10,000 $BTC have added 86,702 coins in three weeks, about $7 billion and their highest balance since April 23, according to Santiment. Roughly 16,200 BTC also left exchanges on a net basis last week. That pace has appeared only twice in the past year: once it preceded higher prices, once a 34% decline. The tier includes custodial wallets, so it tracks balances, not intent. Almost everyone else stepped back. US spot ETFs lost $773 million over four sessions through October 12, Farside data show. Strategy bought only 250 BTC last week, down from 1,665 two weeks earlier, while spending $192 million to repurchase its own preferred stock. Leverage took the damage: $771 million was liquidated in 24 hours, 89% of it longs, as Bitcoin briefly dipped toward $81,000. At $83,000, $BTC sits in a tight box. Bitfinex estimates about 1.45 million BTC bought between $84,000 and $86,500 now sits at a small loss, just under the $87,000 ceiling Bitcoin keeps hitting. Below, puts cluster at $76,000 to $80,000, about $451 million in notional on Friday’s expiry. Yet Deribit options imply only about a 2% move across the CPI window. CPI lands at 8:30 a.m. ET with a hot headline expected: +0.6% on the month and 3.6% on the year, mostly energy, with core at +0.2%. Fed funds futures price an October hike below 20% and a December hike at 70% or more. A core print at or below 0.2% gives the buyers cover to test the breakeven zone. Anything hotter puts the $80,000 put wall in play. #BTC Price Analysis# #Altcoin Season# #Macro Insights#
