Asian chip stocks just got obliterated and US premarket is bleeding

KOSPI down 7.4% — worst day in 2 months. Circuit breakers triggered.
$Samsung -7.4%
$SK Hynix -10%
These two ARE half the index.

Japan?
Tokyo Electron -6.6%
$SoftBank (OpenAI backer) -8%

Foreign money dumped $3.4B in Korean equities in ONE session. Biggest selloff since July.

Why the panic?

China's CXMT just announced they're shipping a memory chip architecture in 2025 that $Samsung planned for 2028.

3 years ago CXMT had <1% market share. Now 10%.

Their new design fits 50% more memory per chip = cheaper production at scale = margin compression for Samsung/Hynix who've been printing money on AI memory demand.

US exposure:
$Micron already down 4% Monday
28 stocks carry the entire $SPX rally in 2025 and AI hardware names = 60% of that move

If chips roll over the index has no engine

Reality check: CXMT hasn't proven mass production yet and Broadcom still projects $230B in AI chip sales by 2028

Demand isn't dead but valuations just got a reality slap
