$BTC is testing the $82K floor while ETF flows wobble and the biggest miners quietly become power companies.

Price: $82,580.23, down 1.288% in the last 24 hours.

The 24-hour range runs from a low of $82,311.50 to a high of $84,352.00.

The $82,000 to $82,500 zone is the immediate support shelf, with a second shelf at $83,200 to $83,500 above it, per current analyst desks.

Resistance stacks at $84,000 to $85,000, and a confirmed break there opens $86,000 to $87,000 and then $90,000.

A loss of $82,000 exposes $80,000 to $81,000.

The all-time high of $126,080 from October 6, 2025 sits roughly 34% above current prices.

BUSINESS.

U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs hold roughly 1.49 million $BTC across the tracked products, according to Bitbo data cited in industry trackers.

That inventory is custody of record for both institutions and the retail investors who own the shares.

Flows stayed volatile: the week of October 5 to 9 saw $681 million of net outflows, the heaviest weekly exit since June and the end of a three-week inflow streak, before Monday brought roughly $21 million of inflows back.

Strategy remains the anchor corporate buyer: it added 250 $BTC between October 5 and 11 at an average of $86,194, lifting holdings to 848,250 $BTC at an all-time average cost of $75,444 per coin.

At current prices the stack is worth about $70 billion, leaving the company roughly $6.6 billion above its aggregate cost of about $64 billion.

The same filings showed a roughly $21 billion gain on digital assets for the third quarter, reversing a second-quarter net loss of $8.22 billion.

TECHNOLOGY.

The network hashes at roughly 1.0 zettahash per second on a seven-day average, per mempool.space, with difficulty at 132.7 trillion.

Publicly traded miners now control about 45% of reported network hashrate, per Ziven data compiled in late September.

Bitdeer leads the public table at 79.9 EH/s, followed by MARA at 70.3 EH/s, CleanSpark at 38.3 EH/s, Riot at 37.2 EH/s, and IREN at 36 EH/s.

CleanSpark produced 529 $BTC in September at a peak operational hashrate of 50 EH/s, holding 13,530 $BTC in treasury.

The same update closed a $2.276 billion senior notes offering to fund data-center construction, and the company is ending monthly mining updates as it moves to standard quarterly reporting like its data-center peers.

The pivot is the industry pattern: operators are retiring or repurposing SHA-256 capacity toward AI and high-performance compute as mining margins tighten.

SECTOR.

Macro is the drag: the Federal Reserve raised its target range to 3.75% to 4.00% on September 16, the 10-year Treasury sits near 5.2%, Brent crude trades around $103 per barrel, and the dollar is firm.

Wednesday brings U.S. CPI, with headline inflation expected near 3.7%.

$BTC commands about 58.5% to 59% of total crypto market value, and the Altcoin Season Index reads around 57 to 61 against the 75 threshold that marks altseason, so capital is still Bitcoin-led.

Sentiment is stable greed: the Crypto Fear and Greed Index reads 69 today, with the last week bouncing between 59 and 73.

Rotation is trying anyway: on October 12 the CoinDesk 80 small-cap basket rose about 3% against 1.2% for the CoinDesk 5 majors.

COMPETITION.

Gold keeps the safe-haven bid: it added 0.43% in the same session where $BTC wobbled, holding its high ground.

$ETH is the weaker runner: it trades near $2,560, below its longer moving averages, and U.S. spot ether ETFs have logged nine straight sessions of outflows.

The $ETH to $BTC ratio sits near 0.0322, well above its June low but far from its 2021 peak, leaving $BTC the default store-of-value trade.

TOKENOMICS.

Market cap reads $1.659 trillion against a fully diluted valuation of $1.659 trillion, essentially equal because issuance is nearly complete.

Circulating supply stands at 20,097,262 $BTC against a 21 million hard cap, so about 95.7% of all coins that will ever exist are already out.

ON-CHAIN & FUNDAMENTALS.

Hashrate at roughly 1.0 zettahash per second and difficulty of 132.7 trillion both sit near record levels, the strongest on-chain proof of network security available.

ETF custody of about 1.49 million $BTC plus the corporate treasury stack form the structural bid, while the weekly $681 million ETF outflow is the counter-signal that the bid can pause.

No other verified protocol-level metrics were available this run.

TEAM & FUNDING.

No verifiable team and funding data exists for this run.

$BTC has no issuer, no CEO, and no funding rounds, so there is no team or venture-backer story to report.

The closest equivalent, corporate treasury accumulation by Strategy, is covered in the BUSINESS section above.

RISKS.

The bear case starts with flows: the heaviest ETF outflow week since June shows institutional demand can shut off in days.

Ether ETF outflows have run nine sessions, the longest stretch since June, and altcoin liquidity keeps thinning even as the majors' order books recover.

Macro is the real headwind: yields above 5%, oil above $100, a strong dollar, and a hawkish Fed with a CPI print due Wednesday.

Miners are showing stress at the margin: CleanSpark sold 702 $BTC in September, most through call exercises at an average realized price of $72,928, below spot.

Strategy bought its latest 250 $BTC at $86,194, above the current spot price, so the biggest buyer is underwater on its newest lot.

No verifiable miner-capitulation signal exists this run beyond normal treasury management.
