๐บ๐ธ UPDATE: Treasury Secretary Bessent says the Russian diesel deal will go ahead, rejecting claims that Congress can block it.
โWeโre going to do it with all the legal authorities we have,โ he says.
Bessent says that applies โwhether itโs an old bill or the current Lindsey Graham bill.โ
It comes as Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick plans to force a House vote on a bill that would block US purchases of Russian oil.
โThis is good for the American people ... bringing these diesel prices down,โ Bessent says.
