Goldman Sachs strategists said net supply of U.S.-listed stocks is set to rise by the largest amount since 2000. According to Sina Finance, a team led by Ben Snider forecast that U.S. equity issuance will reach $600 billion in 2027, driven by economic growth, higher share prices, and artificial intelligence investment.
The strategists wrote that they do not believe the increase in equity supply will end the current bull market. Goldman Sachs also expects share buybacks to rise to about $1.7 trillion next year, saying repurchases will support stock demand even as equity supply expands.
