US banking giant JPMorgan estimates that approximately $50 billion in capital has flowed into the cryptocurrency market since the beginning of the year. According to the bank, the current pace of inflows translates to around $66 billion on an annualized basis.
Although this level is below last yearโs figure, JPMorgan believes inflows could strengthen in the final quarter of the year.
During the first half of the year, corporate crypto purchases and venture capital investments were the main drivers. In the third quarter, ETF inflows and increased activity in futures markets attracted attention.
The bank stated that broader participation from retail and institutional investors supports its positive outlook for the final quarter.
