Ethereum's staking exit queue just hit its longest wait of 2026: nearly 14 days. The line jumped 5x in just 3 days (166K → 851K ETH) after MetaMask pulled validators following a Sept 30 security incident. MetaMask says no wallets or funds were affected.
The twist: while ~786K ETH waits to LEAVE, ~1.5M ETH ($4B) still waits to ENTER — though that entry line has cooled since September. Lido says the exited coins will be restaked gradually, a process taking up to 45 days.
