Zcash is getting another push toward the U.S. ETF market.
Winklevoss Asset Services has filed with the SEC for a spot Zcash ETF that would trade on Nasdaq under WINK, with Gemini Trust Company serving as custodian.
The proposed fund would hold $ZEC directly and carry a 0.25% annual sponsor fee, adding another institutional route for investors to gain exposure to Zcash.
ZEC is trading above $1,376, while Zcash’s NU7 upgrade is now running on public testnet after activating with a target of 25-second blocks, down from 75 seconds.
Developers are scheduled to make the final mainnet activation decision on October 20, with November 5 currently targeted for the mainnet rollout.
With a new ETF filing and a major network upgrade both approaching, Zcash has several important developments on the calendar.
