13 - 1:1 DOESN'T MEAN OWNERSHIP
Here's a detail that can easily be misunderstood:
1:1 backing ≠ direct ownership.
A bStock can be backed 1:1 by an underlying share.
But holding the bStock does not mean you directly own that company's share.
The structure is:
Underlying share
→ held in custody
bStock
→ represents an interest connected to that underlying security
Your position
→ exposure through the tokenized security
So when you hear:
"1:1 backed"
Don't automatically translate that into:
"I own the stock."
Those are two different concepts.
Backing describes the collateral structure.
Ownership describes the legal/economic rights attached to the instrument.
Understanding that distinction matters.
