🇬🇧🇰🇭Britain and Cambodia have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in combating online fraud, counterfeiting and transnational crime.

The agreement recognizes that forbidden online activities (online fraud) can affect people around the world. By sharing knowledge and experience and taking joint action, the two countries will jointly work together to disrupt criminal networks, bring perpetrators to justice and protect vulnerable people.

The memorandum was signed by Lord Hanson, British Home Secretary, and His Excellency Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs, on September 23, 2026, at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to the British Embassy in Cambodia, the agreement marks an important step in strengthening cooperation between the two countries. It also reinforces a joint commitment to ensuring that those who profit from fraud, exploitation and organized crime face a stronger and more coordinated international response.
