AI stocks are running hot, but the bigger question for me is: how long can the spending cycle continue, and where does the money go next?

The latest numbers suggest this isn’t purely hype.

Nvidia recently forecast 70% revenue growth for its next fiscal year, while its Q2 data-center revenue more than doubled to $89 billion. Nvidia also said customer forecasts point to demand acceleration, although supply constraints and rising memory costs remain important risks.

And the spending is spreading beyond GPUs.

AI infrastructure is creating demand for data centers, electricity, cooling, networking, memory, semiconductor equipment and specialized cloud capacity. Anthropic, for example, agreed to a reported $45 billion, six-year computing-power deal with Nscale.

That’s why I’m watching the AI value chain, not just the headline AI stocks.

📌 My watchlist themes:

• AI chips & accelerators

• Networking & memory

• Data-center infrastructure

• Power generation & grid equipment

• Cooling & electrical systems

• Semiconductor equipment

• Cybersecurity & AI software

But there is another side to the trade.

Some AI researchers and industry voices are calling for development to be slowed or better controlled because of safety concerns. Reuters also reports that 73% of surveyed U.S. adults believe AI companies are not doing enough to prevent potential societal harm.

At the same time, President Trump has announced plans for an “AI force” and a new AI adviser, emphasizing continued U.S. AI development. The details and implementation of that initiative are still developing.

So where do I stand?

I’m bullish on the long-term AI infrastructure theme, but not blindly bullish on every AI stock.

The key test from here is simple:

Can AI companies convert enormous compute spending into sustainable revenue, cash flow and productivity?

If yes → the investment opportunity could broaden far beyond Nvidia.

If spending keeps accelerating while profitability fails to catch up → valuation risk becomes the story.

AI may be the headline.

But power + compute + infrastructure could be the next chapter.

I’m watching the fundamentals, earnings and capital spending—not chasing green candles.
