HYPE and UNI are drawing fresh market attention after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission introduced temporary, conditional relief for certain venues seeking to facilitate trading in tokenized U.S. stocks on blockchain networks.

Recent market data shows HYPE up roughly 78% over 30 days, while UNI has gained about 142%. The sharp moves highlight growing trader interest in the intersection of decentralized finance, real-world assets and traditional financial markets.
๐ฆ WHAT DID THE SEC CHANGE?
On September 17, the SEC granted temporary conditional exemptive relief to eligible Tokenized Securities Venues. The framework allows qualifying platforms to facilitate certain tokenized National Market System stocks through permissioned automated market makers and liquidity pools.
The relief is set to remain in place for five years, subject to specific conditions. Tokenized securities must provide holders with rights and privileges equivalent to the underlying traditional shares, while participating platforms face requirements involving disclosures, trading procedures, smart contracts and issuer notifications.
๐ WHY HYPE & UNI MATTER
The decision could strengthen the broader RWA tokenization narrative by creating another potential connection between regulated securities markets and blockchain infrastructure.
However, the SEC action does not mean every stock token is approved or regulated in the same way. Tokenized securities and synthetic products that merely track stock prices can have fundamentally different structures, rights and regulatory treatment.

The market is now watching whether regulated tokenized-stock trading can develop into a meaningful bridge between Wall Street and blockchain liquidity, or remain a limited experiment under strict conditions.
