$ETH Ethereum locks Glamsterdam test date — and warns “any teenager” could stall Sepolia. Developers have confirmed Oct. 6 for the Glamsterdam upgrade on the Sepolia testnet, but raised a big concern: on a free test network, a malicious user can spin up disposable builder identities, bid higher than everyone else in the new block auctions and then never reveal the transaction payloads, leaving blocks empty and disrupting the rehearsal. Glamsterdam’s ePBS design moves the proposer–builder relationship into the protocol, which is great for mainnet, but on Sepolia it makes abusive “fake builders” cheap and easy — so client teams are now being pushed to add logic that identifies and rejects misbehaving builders quickly, not just fall back to local blocks after several misses. Sepolia’s fork is still on for Oct. 6, Hoodi is tentatively next on Oct. 27, and the mainnet date remains unconfirmed. #Ethereum #Glamsterdam #Sepolia #ePBS #BlockBuilders
