🔴 Revolut Hackers Want $3M in $XMR Revolut’s recent data breach has taken another turn. Hackers claiming responsibility are now demanding around $3 million in Monero and have reportedly given the fintech company just 24 hours to pay. Then - came the ultimatum. The group, calling itself “iamnotavillain,” says it wants 6,000 XMR and has threatened to sell the stolen customer information to other criminals if Revolut refuses. Revolut, however, says it has received no direct ransom demand or communication from the group. What we know so far: • around 680 customer accounts were reportedly affected • exposed information may include passports, driving licences, verification photos and transaction histories • attackers allegedly impersonated government officials using a legitimate Italian government email system • Revolut says its own systems and customer funds were not compromised The interesting part is how it happened. This wasn’t described as hackers breaking directly into Revolut’s servers. Instead, fraudulent government requests reportedly convinced the company to hand over customer data - including crypto transaction records potentially linked to assets like $BTC .
