King Charles III plans to seek assurances from some of the most important figures in artificial intelligence that experts can keep control of their inventions. According to Sina Finance, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar, and Google DeepMind co-founder Demis Hassabis will attend an event in Scotland on Thursday hosted by King Charles III.

Senior representatives from Anthropic and U.K. AI Minister Kanishka Narayan will also attend the AI forum at Dumfries House. According to Sina Finance, Buckingham Palace said the meeting will examine how to use the technology for the benefit of society and the natural world.

At the summit, King Charles III will ask two key questions: how to fully use AI's advantages while ensuring safety, and how to build international cooperation and consensus so no country is left behind and humanity's future is protected. According to Sina Finance, the closed-door discussion comes shortly after Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei called for slowing the development of frontier models, sparking a global debate over rising AI risks.
