Severe weather disruptions could worsen food security risks in Asia and raise the risk of civil unrest and political instability in vulnerable countries including India, Indonesia and the Philippines, according to Bloomberg reported.

Consultancy Verisk Maplecroft said El Niño and war threaten food supplies across the region.
