Not even your best friend.
Not even “customer support.”
Not even someone claiming they can recover your account.
I'm talking about your:
🔐 SEED PHRASE
Your seed phrase is a set of words that can be used to recover access to your crypto wallet.
And that's why protecting it is extremely important.
🗝️ PRIVATE KEY vs. SEED PHRASE
They are related, but they aren't exactly the same.
Private key:
A secret cryptographic key used to authorize transactions for a blockchain account.
Seed phrase:
A human, readable backup that can be used to restore a wallet and its associated accounts.
Think of them as extremely sensitive access information.
If someone gets your seed phrase, they may be able to restore your wallet elsewhere and move the assets.
So:
❌ Don't send it in Telegram
❌ Don't post it online
❌ Don't screenshot it
❌ Don't store it in a public cloud folder
❌ Don't enter it into random websites
And be especially careful with anyone who says:
“Send me your seed phrase so I can help you.”
🚨 That's a major warning sign.
A legitimate support person should not need your secret recovery phrase to “verify” your wallet.
One more important lesson:
Your seed phrase is not a password you can simply reset.
If you lose it and have no valid backup, recovering the wallet can be impossible.
