$XRP has had a rough session, falling nearly 10% as the broader crypto market came under pressure. The move is especially interesting because it came alongside a major shift in the regulatory story surrounding the U.S. crypto market.
One key development was the Senateโs failure to advance the CLARITY Act in a procedural vote. The bill needed 60 votes to move forward but received 49 in favor and 50 against. The setback added another layer of uncertainty for a market that was already dealing with macroeconomic pressure and changing expectations around interest rates.
For XRP, the reaction has been significant. Reports showed the token falling to around $1.30 during the sell-off, making it one of the weakest performers among major cryptocurrencies at the time.
But this is where I think it gets interesting.
A sharp decline doesnโt automatically tell us what happens next. After a move this large, Iโd rather watch trading volume, support levels, Bitcoinโs direction, and whether buyers begin stepping back in before making assumptions.
Thereโs also an important distinction between a short-term market reaction and a change in XRPโs longer-term fundamentals. Ripple has stated that the failed CLARITY Act vote does not change the existing legal status of XRP.
What do you think โ is this XRP drop mainly a reaction to regulatory uncertainty and broader market weakness, or could it signal a deeper change in sentiment? ๐
