Michael Saylor expects U.S. banks to offer more $BTC custody, trading and lending services as crypto regulation develops.
The CLARITY Act is currently stalled in the Senate after failing to advance on September 15, but Saylor still expects banks to play a bigger role in the Bitcoin market.
Congress also has other crypto bills under discussion. One proposal would remove capital gains tax on certain crypto transactions involving network fees of $10 or less.
Another would create a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and require U.S. government-held Bitcoin to remain in reserve for at least 20 years.
Together, these proposals cover crypto taxes, bank services and long-term U.S. Bitcoin holdings.
