The CLARITY Act odds dropping from 30% to 14% turned out to be a pretty accurate warning that getting 60 votes was going to be difficult. Now we know the result. The Senate vote finished 49-50, so the bill did not get enough support to advance. For crypto, I think the important part is separating a delay in legislation from the bigger adoption story. $BTC and $ETH do not suddenly stop growing because one bill failed. ETFs still exist, institutions are already involved, stablecoin adoption continues and the industry will keep pushing for clearer US rules. But regulatory clarity still matters. Clear market structure could make it easier for exchanges, projects and traditional finance to operate without constantly guessing where the regulatory lines sit. So this is definitely a setback for the current push, but it does not look like the end of US crypto legislation. The next question is whether lawmakers can find enough common ground to bring a revised version back later.
