🤔 Maybe $BTC Crypto Doesn’t Need 18388349 Exchanges CoinEx is shutting down after 9 years - despite having built a user base of 10M+. Spot trading ends September 29, while withdrawals remain open until December 22. The exchange cited lower trading volumes and liquidity, alongside rising regulatory and compliance costs. Several other exchanges have already shut down or announced closures this year: 🔚 AscendEX ceased operations in July 🔚 BitMEX is closing after 11 years 🔚 BitMart is also winding down after 9 years There’s some market logic behind it: spot volume across the top 10 CEXs fell 27.9% QoQ in Q2... But personally, I don’t read this as crypto running out of things to build. Maybe the opposite - the bar is moving higher. More of the next wave looks likely to sit in custody, payments, stablecoins, tokenization and regulated $BTC infrastructure for banks and large businesses. In one 2026 survey, 88% of financial institutions had already committed or planned budget for digital-asset infrastructure. Fewer interchangeable venues, more difficult infrastructure. That feels more like maturation than retreat 💡 #Macro Insights# #BTC Price Analysis#
